"Dear clients,

The doors of the Hotel Restaurant du Grand Large – Ile de Ré are now reopened.

In order to welcome you in the best conditions, from Monday 9 August 2021health pass per adult will be requested upon arrival. This takes three forms:


- 1 vaccination pass (complete vaccination + 7 days after the 2nd injection).
- 1 PCR or antigen test of less than 72 hours negative to repeat during your stay.
- 1 certificate of recovery from Covid 19 with a positive PCR or antigen test dated at least 15 days and less than 6 months.


Without one of these supporting documents, we will not be able to accept you within the establishment.

Minors are not affected by this measure.

Wearing a mask is compulsory within the establishment but also outside. (except on the beaches and when you are cycling).

Please contact the reception team on 05 46 09 89 51. They can provide you with various contacts to make an appointment for the renewal of the PCR tests.

Hygiene protocol for each workstation

Your safety and that of employees is our priority: we have therefore set up a hygiene protocol for each position within the Hotel. Each employee has protective gear at his disposal and hydroalcoholic gel is self-service. In addition, each employee has been trained to respect this protocol.

Catering on site at the Restaurant Le Grand Large

From Monday August 9, 2021, a health pass will be requested upon your arrival both in the dining room and on the terrace. The service will then be carried out normally while respecting distancing and barrier gestures.

Breakfast Service:

Service takes place in the breakfast room and on the terrace for Hotel guests while also respecting distancing and barrier gestures. If you wish it, breakfasts can also be taken in your room in the form of a tray.

A health pass having been requested on the arrival of each client, it will not be requested again within the hotel. 

Access to the swimming pool, wellness area and massages

The heated outdoor swimming pool is accessible to hotel guests.

The jacuzzi is also accessible. Time slots for privatized sessions must be reserved at reception in order to respect social distancing given the small size of this space.

Also in this area, a health pass having been requested on arrival for each of the customers, this one will not be requested again during your stay.

From now on, the masseuse can perform massages and treatments respecting a specific protocol. Wearing a mask is compulsory.

Reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours before your arrival

- The general conditions of sale remain relaxed: By booking directly on the Hotel website and by selecting the flexible rate, you now have the possibility to cancel your stay free of charge * until 24 hours before your arrival or the day before at 12 noon at the latest. (* 5 euros will be kept as an application fee, the bank invoicing reimbursement fees).

Possible activities on the Ile de Ré

Concerning the Ile de Ré, you will find on this page, shops and activities open. The cycle paths are passable and the beaches of Ile de Ré are accessible.
